Millions allocated to help complete Civil Rights and history museums

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) – Progress continues on the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum and the Museum of Mississippi History under construction in downtown Jackson.

Lawmakers passed a bill this year allocating about $16.6 million to complete exhibits and furnish the buildings.

Professional exhibit builders are now in the process of creating the displays. They’ll be built out-of-state and installed in the museums starting next March. The designers will be in town over the next several days.
