Rep. Joey Hood’s strike-all amendment on Planned Parenthood bill sends it back to Senate

House OKs bill targeting Planned Parenthood

The House of Representatives voted 77-37 Tuesday for a bill that would prohibit state funding from going to any clinic that performs or is affiliated with any entity that performs elective abortions…

…Hood offered a strike-all amendment to the original language in the Senate bill, which had said Medicaid dollars could not go toward any Planned Parenthood clinic for family planning services, including birth control and preventive health care such as Pap smears and breast examinations.
