Students, governor rally for school choice
Hundreds of parents, teachers and students attended a rally Tuesday for the right to choose what school children attend.
The rally at the State Capitol was held as part of National School Week.
“There are more than 115,000 students who wake up, eat breakfast and walk out that door to attend failing school districts,” Grant Callen, with Empower Mississippi, said.
Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves and Gov. Phil Bryant spoke at the event.
