ACLU praises proposal for election laws
Jackson, Miss. The ACLU of Mississippi is praising a proposal by the secretary of state to update Mississippi’s election laws, including allowing people to fill out voter registration forms online just as people can already do in more than half the states.
On Friday, the civil liberties group said the proposals Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann supports encourage “greater voter participation.”
