…Sojourner, when asked by committee member Sen. Joey Fillingane what remedy she was asking from the Senate with her case, choked back tears as she answered.
“With every ounce of respect I have,” she said. “I am asking that due to illegal and improper willfully intended actions at the Bude precinct … Based on that margin of votes alone, that you disqualify those votes, that you re-tabulate the vote and name me the senator for District 37. That is my prayerful wish from this court.”
