Pike Co. considering replacing Voting Machines with Tablets

By: Magnolia Tribune - December 21, 2015

Tablets to Possibly Replace Voting Machines in Pike Co.

Pike County election commissioners say the county could reduce time, money and confusion by replacing its voting machines with tablets.

The Enterprise-Journal reports that they’re considering buying 55 tablets that would serve as both voting machines and voter registries. They’d cost about $1,000 each.

Each precinct would get two tablets pre-loaded with the voter rolls and voting software, and the county would buy five more.
