So, how does the 2016 session stack up? Pressure on lawmakers to get more funds into public education, pressure on lawmakers to get more funds into transportation infrastructure and a host of other budget increase requests. At the same time, there’s political pressure on Republicans from inside the GOP for tax cuts while revenues shortfalls make all of that more difficult by the day.
Oh, yes, and increasing Internet sales during the holiday shopping season isn’t exactly swelling the state’s sales tax coffers, either.
