Rolling Fork mayor indicted for false pretense
Rolling Fork Mayor Eldridge Walker has been indicted by a Hinds County Grand Jury.
Walker was recently arrested by investigators with the Mississippi Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division and charged with false pretense, conspiracy to commit false pretense, wire fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud. The indictment alleges Walker, while doing businesses as Walker Construction, submitted a phony invoice for work allegedly done at a Rolling Fork residence “with intent to defraud Federal Home Loan Bank.”
