PSC considers MS Power rate increase
The Public Service Commission (PSC) considered a new rate increase Tuesday. The question – how much more will customers have to pay for the Kemper County lignite plant?
Power company officials answered questions while public service commissioners considered how to handle rate increases connected to the Kemper County plant. And suddenly the lawyers were summoned to a closed door meeting.
No press allowed. The goal was to reach a settlement to reduce a August rate increase of 18 percent.
