Politicians pitch to business leaders at Hobnob ’15
Politicians running for statewide office in Tuesday’s general election made final pitches to the state’s business leaders at the annual “Hobnob” on Thursday.
The event, hosted by the Mississippi Economic Council, the state’s chamber of commerce, drew about 1,500 business leaders from across the state to the Mississippi Coliseum in Jackson. Besides sampling catfish, chicken, barbecue and other Mississippi-produced food and hearing the state’s current and would-be political leaders speak, attendees were entertained by the Jackson State University Sonic Boom band and the Washington, D.C.-based Capitol Steps comedy troupe.
