Judge issues order increasing salary of court administrator

A pay raise for a Chancery Court administrator was approved by the Board of Supervisors on Monday through a monthly supplement at the behest of Chancellor Cynthia Brewer.

Brewer issued a court order on Sept. 30 setting the salary of Regina Ferguson to $45,000 per year, an additional $391.74 per month.

The chancery district comprises Madison, Yazoo, Leake and Holmes counties, and according to County Administrator Mark Houston, the pay raise request was sent to all four counties to share in cost.
