Bribery sentencing delayed indefinitely for Epps, McCrory
Sentencing was scheduled for Tuesday for Epps and Wednesday for McCrory. On May 19, U.S. District Judge Henry T. Wingate delayed those dates indefinitely.
State Auditor Stacey Pickering has said he expects more people to be charged. Both Epps and McCrory must cooperate with federal prosecutors as part of their pleas, and prosecutors typically delay sentencing until cooperation is complete.
