Mississippi Insurance Commissioner Mike Chaney endorsed Mike Hurst for Attorney General on Monday.
The two Republicans appeared at the Jackson County Republican Women’s statewide, legislative, and regional candidate forum, along with other candidates.
Chaney is seeking reelection while Hurst looks to unseat Democrat AG Jim Hood.
Hurst used his time to note Hood’s cronyism and lack of emphasis on fighting public corruption. He also said Mississippi should push back against government overreach.
