State senator raises concerns about Oxford Houses in Miss.
State Senator Will Longwitz is raising questions about Oxford Houses, halfway homes for recovering addicts are operated. An Oxford House opened April 1 in Jackson, leaving residents complaining about the safety of their children and concern about the upkeep of their neighborhood. There are 15 Oxford Houses in Mississippi.
Sen. Longwitz wrote a letter to the Mississippi Department of Mental Health asking it to review its relationship with Oxford House, WLBT reported.
