Governor Phil Bryant endorses in Jones County sheriff’s race
Governor Phil Bryant is endorsing a candidate for the Jones County Sheriff position.
On Monday, Governor Bryant endorsed Sheriff Alex Hodge, who is running for re-election and has one opponent.
“I’m a former deputy sheriff myself and so I particularly am fond of sheriffs and this one in Jones County,” said Gov. Bryant. “We’re just good friends, I’ve worked with him as we’ve had the tornadoes that came through Jones County, I’ve seen the character of the man and I believe it would just be a very good thing for him to continue to serve as sheriff in Jones County and any way I can help do that I certainly am.”
