From MSGOP email:
Dear fellow Republicans,
In less than a week, Mississippians will cast their ballots in the midterm election. President Obama, who said his policies are “on the ballot,” has seen his approval rating sink to record lows. From ISIS to the IRS, our world is in turmoil, and the President has failed to show leadership. Now is the time to elect a Republican Senate to help hold this President accountable.
If you care about the conservative movement, you know it’s critical that Thad Cochran be reelected to the United States Senate. He served in the United States Navy, so he understands the challenges America faces abroad. He plays a leadership role on the Senate Appropriations Committee, so he will ensure Mississippi moves forward here at home. Mississippi has greatly benefited from his experience and influence in Washington. The last thing we need right now is for Mississippi to lose any power in Washington—and we need to make sure we can do everything possible to stop Obama’s liberal policies.
President Obama and Travis Childers’ policies are clear. President Obama misled millions of Americans in order to pass an expensive and dangerous healthcare bill. Travis Childers refuses to repeal it. President Obama believes government should raise taxes to redistribute wealth. Travis Childers repeatedly voted for tax increases as a member of Congress. President Obama has relied on the support of fellow Democrats to support his agenda. Travis Childers voted for Nancy Pelosi for Speaker of the House of Representatives, making the Obama agenda possible.
A vote for Thad Cochran is a vote for our conservative principles. Voting against Thad Cochran is just a vote for Harry Reid to lead the Senate. It’s that simple—and that’s what’s at stake in the election. Mississippians don’t share President Obama and Travis Childers’ values. We know we can trust Thad Cochran to represent our beliefs in the Senate. Thad Cochran needs our help now more than ever. Please join me in voting for Senator Thad Cochran this Tuesday, November 4th.
Sincerely,
Phil Bryant
