New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie makes tour stop in Biloxi, thanks Sandy responders
During a Q&A session with the media, Christie was asked about the recent Republican primary race for the U.S. Senate between six-term incumbent Thad Cochran and Tea Party darling Chris McDaniel, won by Cochran, who will now face Democrat Travis Childers in the November general election.
“It means we have a competitive party,” Christie said, adding that he was “happy for Senator Cochran.”
Christie was also asked if he’d like to create some “breaking news” an announce his intentions regarding a run for the White House in 2016.
“No, thank you,” he said, smiling.
