4th Dist. candidate Taylor campaigns in Jones County
Republican 4th Dist. congressional candidate Gene Taylor meets with patrons at Mak’s in Eastabuchie Tuesday.
4th Dist. Republican congressional candidate Gene Taylor was in Jones County Tuesday, campaigning at a popular convenience store. Taylor shook hand with patrons and had lunch at Mak’s in Eastabuchie.
Taylor, a ten-term Democratic congressman, lost his seat to Republican Steven Palazzo in 2010. Just a few weeks ago, Taylor entered this year’s race as a Republican.
“You can’t beat the old-fashioned handshaking,” Taylor said. “I like looking people in the eye and asking them for their vote and their concerns and finding out what’s important to them, and then taking what I have learned out on the trail and taking that message to Washington,” he said.
Taylor also campaigned Tuesday in Forrest and Lamar counties.
