Palazzo asks FEMA to expedite funding

Congressman Steven Palazzo is wading into the fight between Harrison County and FEMA over funds to fix piers damaged in Hurricane Isaac.

Monday, the congressman said he sent letters to both FEMA and NOAA asking the organizations to expedite the approval of funds to repair hurricane damaged piers in Long Beach and Gulfport. He also asked them to approve re-imbursement funds to the county for repairs already done to a pier.
