The Rev. Ben James, Jr.,Chairman of the Capitol Prayer and Ministry Foundation stated, “The Lieutenant Governor, who organized this Foundation with me, and I believe it is Vital that we prayer for our leaders and we feel in times like these as in the days of America’s Constitutional Convention that Ben Franklin’s call to prayer was so key to the founding of our constitutional republic and so we invite everyone to join us in the Capitol Rotunda and at the luncheon on Thursday. There will be no cost to anyone for this purpose as the Lt. Governor has worked with me to raise the funds privately to pay for these meals. I am particularly excited that Dr. Rodney Bennett will be our key note speaker at the Prayer Luncheon on this Thursday. I was raised in Hattiesburg and am a Golden Eagle through and through. I look forward to seeing you along with Governor Reeves at these events.”
