From Sam Hall at Clarion Ledger: McDaniel side-steps term limits question after calling for term limits

State Sen. Chris McDaniel, R-Ellisville, on Monday sent out a press release announcing that he pledged, if elected, to support term limits — three terms for House members and two terms for Senate members….

….Naturally, I asked the obvious question of campaign spokesman Noel Fritsch:

Does this mean he’s also pledging to serve no more than two terms, whether term limits are in place or not?

Fritsch emailed me back this morning with their reply:

“Senator McDaniel is focused on winning this race first, and has no intention of spending 40 plus years in Washington as some career politicians do, which is why term limit legislation will be one of the first bills he introduces when he arrives in Washington,” said McDaniel spokesman Noel Fritsch.

Or, to put it more succinctly, no.
