New Campaign Hits Mississippi TVs To Educate About Voter ID
Starting in June, Mississippi voters will be required to show a photo ID in order to vote. MPB’s Jeffrey Hess reports the secretary of state has unveiled the new voter ID cards and a statewide awareness campaign….
Commercials featuring Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann, like this one, will be hitting the airwaves this week in a push to reach Mississippians who currently do not have a photo ID.
The secretary has unveiled a new state voter I-D card that can be issued, free of charge, to anyone that currently does not have one of nine forms of government issued photo ID.
