Chaney – States that run own exchange in much better shape
Functionality is slowly returning to the health insurance exchange web site, but Mississippi Insurance Commissioner Mike Chaney still has a bleak view of the roll out. “To me right now it has been a disaster,” Chaney said.
Mississippi was one of 16 states working to run a state based exchange, rather than the federally administrated program now in place. The federal government rejected Chaney’s plan because of a dispute between the Commissioner and Governor Phil Bryant.
Chaney says states that have run their own exchange are in much better shape.
