Japan Auto Industry Applauds Nunnelee-Gallego Letter
The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA) today applauded Congressmen Alan Nunnelee (R-MS) and Pete Gallego’s (D-TX) letter to President Obama that underscores the economic benefits and investment of the Japanese auto industry in the United States. The letter, signed by 79 members of Congress, commended the industry’s innovative products and cutting-edge manufacturing processes.
“This letter underscores the fact that Japanese-branded auto companies are among the largest job creators in the U.S.,” said Ron Bookbinder, General Director of JAMA USA. “The commitment to the U.S. market is further illustrated by recently released data showing that the Japanese auto industry in the U.S. has reached all-time record highs for U.S. parts purchased and vehicles exported from the U.S.”
