Hosemann: No voter ID in Mississippi until next year
Mississippi Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann says voters in next month’s elections will not be required to show identification before voting.
“In meetings with the attorney general and also with members of the Legislature and with everyone else, we could not get everyone issued an ID by November,” said Hosemann.
The November 4 election will mainly be for school board races. However, some special elections are being held for open legislative and county seats.
