Brian Eason’s The Buzz: Steve Holland’s mouth on the loose!
Rep. Steve Holland says the darndest things.
In a lengthy expose featured in GQ, state Rep. Steve Holland, D-Plantersville, managed to steal the show from an eccentric Elvis impersonator who was wrongfully accused of trying to assassinate the president and Sen. Roger Wicker.
All it took was for him to find a publication that could actually publish the crazy stuff he says.
Setting the tone for what’s to come, GQ — formerly known as Gentlemen’s Quarterly magazine — introduces Holland as “a gloriously profane and paradoxically genteel man of 58.” (I’m actually lobbying for The Clarion-Ledger to let me use that as his go-to identifier on all future articles instead of “D-Plantersville.” I don’t have high hopes.)
