Rep. Broomfield becomes Moss Point mayor Saturday
Democratic state Rep. Billy Broomfield will be sworn in Saturday afternoon as the new mayor of Moss Point.
Broomfield says his resignation from the Mississippi House will take effect that day. He has served in the Legislature since 1992, representing a district that is entirely in Jackson County.
