Southaven Mayor Greg Davis due back in court April 10

Southaven Mayor Greg Davis is due back in a Hinds County Chancery Court in Jackson next Wednesday, April 10, in a showdown with Mississippi State Auditor Stacey Pickering over alleged misspent funds amounting to more than $70,000 including fines and penalties.

According to the Davis camp, that number is closer to $40,000.

Davis’ legal team, which included Michael A. Heilman, filed for partial summary judgement in the case two weeks ago.

Depositions of aldermen at city hall are being allowed instead of aldermen having to take the stand in Jackson.
