Rigsby Gals rest – Cori never takes the stand

State Farm never called Katrina ‘water’ storm, adjuster testifies

State Farm managers never called Hurricane Katrina a “water” storm or tried to influence determinations of whether wind or water caused policyholder losses, claims adjuster Jamye Woody testified in federal court Monday.

Woody works for E.A. Renfroe, the same adjusting firm that employed former adjusters Kerri and Cori Rigsby. The sisters are trying to prove State Farm defrauded the federal government by blaming Katrina’s tidal surge, covered under the federal flood program, for wind losses State Farm should have covered.

Kerri Rigsby testified earlier in the trial that a State Farm manager characterized Katrina as a “water” storm. The Rigsbys rested their case Monday morning, after four days of testimony, without Cori Rigsby taking the stand.
