MSGOP Welcomes Senator Nickey Browning
Earlier today, the Mississippi Republican Party welcomed Senator Nickey Browning as the newest elected official to join its membership. Sen. Browning has been in the legislature since 1996 and represents District 3 (Calhoun, Pontotoc, Union).
“Conservatives in Mississippi are working to build a bright future for our state, and it is wonderful to have Senator Browning join our effort,” Gov. Phil Bryant said. “I am very pleased to welcome him to the Republican Party.”
“Senator Browning is a strong social and fiscal conservative, and I welcome him to the Mississippi Republican Party,” Lt. Gov. Reeves said. “The doors of the Mississippi Republican Party are open for anyone who believes in keeping taxes low, creating a strong environment for job creation and making our state a great place to raise a family.”
“Senator Browning is a fine public servant and we welcome him,” said MSGOP Chairman Joe Nosef. “It is becoming clearer every day that in Mississippi you have to make a choice – you can either be a conservative or a Democrat, but you can be both anymore. We look forward to having Nickey as part of the Republican Party.”
