Southaven Mayor Greg Davis’ civil trial continued until May
Southaven Mayor Greg Davis’ civil trial in Jackson has been continued until May.
The case centers on Auditor Stacey Pickering’s efforts to recover more than $70,000 the state says Davis still owes for unsubstantiated personal expenses.
In November 2011, Pickering said Davis defrauded the public in accumulating the expenses totaling more than $170,000, and ordered him to repay the money. Davis repaid $96,000 through supporters, but denies he owes the remaining $70,000-plus.
