Pender column: Budget shows GOP divide?
Many Mississippi political observers have been wondering if Gov. Phil Bryant and Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves might have attended some Republican couples therapy sessions during the legislative off season.
It would appear not.
Exhibit A: the legislative budget proposal adopted last week. It appeared to contain a few one-finger howdies from the lieutenant governor to the governor. And it also appeared to answer the question of who’s running the show at the Legislature — Reeves, still, at least for now.
