Bryant: New study shows Medicaid expansion too costly

Bryant: New study shows Medicaid expansion too costly

Gov. Phil Bryant says an updated study by Milliman, Inc., hired by the state Division of Medicaid to analyze the impact of the Affordable Care Act and its proposed Medicaid expansion on the state budget, supports his stance that the state cannot afford the expansion.

The updated report, sent by Bryant on Friday to Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves and House Speaker Philip Gunn, is expected to be a key topic at today’s joint hearing of the Senate Public Health and Insurance committees on the Affordable Care Act.
