Harper, Nunnelee push to make Elvis birthdate a national holiday

Could the King of Rock n’ Roll be the next person to get a national holiday in his honor?

Ten members of the U. S. House of Representatives, including Congressmen Alan Nunnelee and Gregg Harper of Mississippi, have co-authored a bill that could do just that.

The measure was introduced last week to designate January 8 at Elvis Presley Day.
