A veteran SWAT officer with the Jackson Police Department faces 10 years in prison for allegedly taking a $250 bribe.
Sgt. Richard McGahey, 43, of Clinton was arrested Tuesday-night at the Jackson Police Department by officers with the AG’s Office, Hinds County Sheriff’s Department and Jackson police, Attorney General Jim Hood said. He said the FBI assisted his office in the investigation, but would not elaborate on how the federal agency got involved.
