AirGuide to Locate Manufacturing Operations in Clarksdale, Miss.
Clarksdale, Miss. – Governor Phil Bryant and officials from AirGuide announced today the company is locating manufacturing operations in Clarksdale, Miss. The project represents a company investment of $720,000 and will create 40 full-time jobs.
AirGuide, a manufacturer of aluminum grilles, registers and diffusers for the HVAC industry and energy efficient lighting products, is consolidating its Mexico and Houston, Texas, operations into the Clarksdale facility.
“AirGuide’s decision to relocate these operations is great news for Clarksdale and Coahoma County,” Governor Bryant said. “I thank the company for placing its confidence in our business climate and for creating these new jobs for the area’s workers, and I am pleased to welcome AirGuide as the newest member of Mississippi’s business community.”
“We are looking forward to becoming a corporate citizen in Mississippi and are grateful for the support we’ve received at the state and local levels. Ron Hudson, Hugh Jack Stubbs, Hartley Kittle and Trisha Webber, as well as many other individuals from the Clarksdale-area business community, have been instrumental in AirGuide making the decision to locate in Clarksdale,” said Doug Marty, president of AirGuide. “We believe this new location will enable AirGuide Manufacturing and Arcalux to better serve our customers and further improve our competitiveness manufacturing our HVAC and energy efficient lighting products, and we look forward to starting operations in Clarksdale.”
The Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) provided assistance for improvements to the publicly-owned building AirGuide will occupy, along with support through the Momentum Mississippi Incentives program. Coahoma County is also assisting with this project.
“I am grateful MDA was able to work with our partners in Coahoma County to support AirGuide with this relocation project,” said MDA Executive Director Brent Christensen. “I commend the company for its investment in the Mississippi Delta and for the new jobs it is creating.”
