Thompson announces transportation grants
The U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded $1.25 million to the state of Mississippi for the Byram -Clinton Corridor Project.
U.S. Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., says in a news release Monday that the funds come from the Delta Region Transportation Development Program.
Thompson says the MDOT has approved another $1 million for the Mill Street Bridge project in north Jackson.

US and China take a step back from sky-high tariffs, agree to pause for 90 days
