Hinds supervisor Anderson’s vote related to wife’s candidacy questioned
Hinds County District 2 Supervisor Doug Anderson twice on July 2 cast official votes potentially impacting his wife’s candidacy for District 2 election commissioner.
Whether the votes were proper was among questions posed to the office of Attorney General Jim Hood by Crystal Martin, the Board of Supervisors attorney.
On behalf of supervisors, Martin requested an attorney general’s opinion on whether Hinds County District 2 Election Commissioner Bobbie Graves and District 5 Election Commission candidate Blonda Mack could be placed on the November ballot.
