Did DSU fire employee because she had breast cancer?
State officials aren’t required to explain why they choose not to renew an employee’s contract, but Roseann Buck said she can’t think of why Delta State University wouldn’t want her back – except for the fact she has breast cancer.

Community members angered about her dismissal as executive director of the Bologna Performing Arts Center at the Cleveland school are speaking out on her behalf.

“This is one of the most unfair and cruel treatments of an employee I’ve ever heard of,” said Carol Tatum, a BPAC donor. “Despite fighting cancer and going through surgery, chemo and radiation treatments, Roseann has a great work ethic.”
