Mississippi Senate approves redistricting plan
State senators approved their redistricting plan Wednesday that creates a new Senate seat in DeSoto County and puts two North Mississippi Democrats in the same district.
Senators also approved the House redistricting plan, the last step in the process before it is sent to the Justice Department for approval.
