CL – Let Kemper Plant project proceed
The $2.4 billion Kemper County integrated gasification combined-cycle, or IGCC, plant project cleared another hurdle Tuesday, but it won’t be the last.
Opponents of the project, which has been under construction for about a year, remain determined to stop it even though it will be a plus for the region.
The Mississippi Power plant will use lignite coal in a cutting-edge process that will gasify the coal and produce energy.
