Lee County school official arrested by auditor
Randy Thweatt, the business manager for the Lee County School District, has been arrested on charges of embezzlement.
State Auditor Stacey Pickering says the 50-year-old Thweatt was arrested Tuesday.
Pickering says in a news release that Thweatt is accused of taking a working air conditioner unit and having school district employees install it at a mobile home he owns in Starkville. Thweatt is also accused of transferring the title of a district-owned truck to himself two months ago.
