Bryant touts energy policy, offshore drilling
Gov. Phil Bryant touted a state energy plan to develop jobs, development and research at the Gulf Coast Energy Summit on Monday at the Mississippi Coliseum and Convention Center.
Bryant also stressed the state would protect its beaches and islands in exploring offshore for energy.
“We don’t want one tin can or one piece of paper left out there,” Bryant said about the barrier islands. “We are going to protect that Gulf because we love it. It is in our veins, it is in our souls and the idea that somehow we would deliberately harm the Gulf is out of touch with reality.”
