Milwaukee Electric to expand Olive Branch facility

Milwaukee Electric Tool announced Wednesday afternoon that it will expand its presence in Olive Branch with construction of a new, 600,000-square-foot distribution facility.

The heavy-duty portable electric power tool and accessory manufacturer based in Wisconsin has had a longtime presence inside the city with a distribution center at 8950 Hacks Cross.

Its new facility will be along the Polk Lane corridor, which has attracted attention recently from new businesses, including pharmaceuticals supplier McKesson Corp. and high-tech windows manufacturer Soladigm.

The Milwaukee Electric project, which represents an $8 million investment, will create 25 new jobs. The number of people the company employs now in Olive Branch was not immediately available.
