Dual enrollment/credit plan saves time, tuition costs
Caitlyn Scott is on track to graduate Pisgah High School in May with enough college-credit hours to be a sophomore at Mississippi College in the fall.
Over the last two years, Scott has enrolled in high school courses that offer college-level credit hours through a partnership with Hinds Community College, allowing her to leave possibly with 26 hours in college credit to be able to skip her freshman year at MC.
Also, Scott, 17, will have paid $200 for those 26 hours, a massive difference from MC’s $21,000 tuition for the freshman year’s two semesters.
