Democratic District 18 Senatorial candidate Steven Kilgore of Philadelphia formally conceded Friday afternoon to incumbent Sen. Giles Ward of Louisville.
In a written statement, Kilgore said:
“I have just formally conceded the District 18 senate race to Senator Ward. I congratulated him and Kay on a hard-fought victory. There were some 18,000 ballots cast in our race and we came up short by only 151, or less than 1 percent.
