Mississippians are fortunate to have two excellent choices for governor on Tuesday.
The best choice in our opinion is Phil Bryant.
Johnny DuPree, a Democrat, brings a lot of good things to the table. Education is the primary component of DuPree’s platform, including championing early childhood education, attacking dropout rates, funding public education long range, and raising teacher salaries to the Southeastern average.
The mayor of Hattiesburg has a record of public service that stands out in concrete and steel in the Hub City, which also commends him.
