Former Northern District Public Service Commissioner Bo Robinson Endorses Boyce Adams

Columbus, Miss. – November 2, 2011 – Today, Boyce Adams, Republican Nominee for Northern District Public Service Commissioner, officially received the endorsement of former Democratic Northern District Public Service Commissioner Bo Robinson. Commissioner Robinson supported Democrat Brandon Presley four years ago.

Commissioner Bo Robinson was appointed by Governor Ray Mabus in 1989 to serve an uncompleted term and was re-elected in 1991. Commissioner Robinson served on the commission for more than 18 years and currently is Chairman of the Monroe County Democratic Party. Commissioner Robinson stated, “I am excited to pledge my full support to Boyce Adams. He has the experience and vision needed to put North Mississippi back on track and restore conservatism to the office. Boyce understands the issues that we all face, including energy sustainability, job creation, and economic development.”

Commissioner Robinson’s vast experience on the Commission makes him an ideal person to understand the needs the Commission faces and how to address them within its structure. Republican Nominee Boyce Adams stated, “Commissioner Robinson’s guidance with my race comes with his unparalleled record of public service. I’m grateful to Commissioner Robinson for being a campaign co-chair and look forward to continuing to work with him to restore common sense to the Public Service Commissioner’s office.” Commissioner Robinson and Adams will attend events throughout the district this week to discuss the importance of the Commission and where improvements can be made.
