Hattiesburg American catches up with Gene Taylor
In November 2010, longtime incumbent Congressman Gene Taylor (D) was defeated by challenger Steven Palazzo (R) for the 4th District seat. Taylor, a Bay St. Louis resident, had represented the Pine Belt in Congress since 1989.
“I always knew that it was going to end some day,” Taylor said of his work in Washington, D.C.
Whatever happened?
Taylor may have returned to private life, but he’s not exactly slowed down.
