Senator Clarke reports Large Campaign War Chest
Senator Buck Clarke announced today that he will report over $103,000 in the bank when he
files his campaign financial disclosure statement this week. Clarke is completing his second
term this year.
“I’m humbled by the level of support my campaign has received,” said Clarke. “I attribute my
fundraising success to voters responding to my message of cutting government red tape to create
more private sector jobs,” he remarked.
Clarke says his report will show he has raised over $95,853 during the last period and has
$103,957.85 cash on hand for the November election.
Last week, Clarke campaigned with Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann. The guest speaker at
the Hollandale Rotary Club, Hosemann accompanied Clarke on a tour of local businesses in
Greenville. Hosemann and Clarke also cut the ribbon officially opening the Washington County
Republican Party headquarters.
“Secretary Hosemann and I agree that less government spending and fewer regulations on small
businesses are the best ways we can create more private sector jobs and get our economy moving
again,” said Clarke. “I’m grateful for Delbert’s support.”
Buck and Paula Clarke have been married 32 years and are the parents of three. The Clarke’s
attend Hollandale First United Methodist Church where Buck is a Sunday school teacher. He is
a Certified Public Accountant, member of the Rotary Club, and graduate of Mississippi State.
Last year, Clarke received the Farm Bureau’s “Friend of Agriculture” award. He is endorsed for
re-election by Mississippi Right to Life and the National Rifle Association.
